What a day here looks like
Caitlin and Anthony’s wedding at the Hutton House was a sun-soaked day filled with music, laughter, and joy. They shared a a first look, heartfelt private vows, and exchanged sentimental gifts before moving into portraits filled with giggles over inside jokes and quiet moments to keep them grounded in the moment. Their lively wedding party soon joined them outdoors and, once the sun got toasty enough, moved to the fireplace room inside for a quick respite! Family photos afterward flowed quickly, leaving plenty of time for the couple to hide away upstairs and kick off a spontaneous dance party with their friends.
Guests were treated a live string quartet as they arrived and found their seats for the ceremony in the courtyard. Colorful blooms lined the aisle and adorned the arbor where Anthony and Caitlin exchanged vows and officially started their lives together. They pulled off the ultimate dip kiss on their way back down the aisle and were soon enjoying signature drinks with their guests under black and white striped umbrellas set up outside for cocktail hour!
Memorable toasts and first dances kicked off a lively reception, with the bride and groom only leaving the dance floor to catch a breath by sneaking out for a few sunset photos and a quick (surprise) wardrobe change. Late night snacks paired with Ben & Jerry’s ice cream were the ultimate cherry on top for the perfect event as they danced the night away.
Tips for couples
When to schedule portraits for the best light: Light is the most harsh at noon because the sun is at its highest; if you’re able to schedule portraits in later morning or early afternoon instead of right at noon, you’ll enjoy softer light for stunning images when you’re in the open spaces featured around this venue.
Where to tuck in family photos: Family photos prior to the ceremony work well if you’re planning a first look. Otherwise, family photos immediately following the ceremony can make the most of your beautiful ceremony space while keeping everyone you need nearby to quickly move through your list of desired photos.
Quiet spots for a first look or private vows: The courtyard tucked behind the building and nearby park are both quiet and private; on rainy days, the fireside room and even the lounge at the top of the stairs are nice options!
