Door County Wedding Photographer

Experience

What is it like to work with me?

My goal is to capture your unique love by focusing on you (the REAL you) and how you want to feel when you look at your photos in twenty-five years.

I want (no actually, I need) you to spill every sweet, funny, gritty, memorable detail of your love story because: A) I frickin love a love story, but more importantly: B) knowing your story is how I’m able to translate it into images that you’ll cherish forever.

The Amy K Experience

Engaged couple in Door County

Worried you’ll feel awkward in front of the camera? This won’t be a situation where you’re constantly wondering how big to smile or feeling confused about how you’re being asked to tilt your head. Your hair doesn’t have to defy the power of the wind and stay in exactly one place.

That’s not real life.

And that’s not a true representation of how you actually interact with each other.

Instead, I’ll crack a few self-deprecating jokes, gush over your love story, and give you prompts that will help you loosen up and relax so that you can live in the moment and have fun more organically.

“Amy is an amazing photographer and hands down the best person to work with when taking professional photos. Amy took some pretty stunning photos of us during our engagement and she made it so much fun you almost forgot you were in front of a camera. For our wedding, Amy did a fantastic job with capturing our special day and she paid attention to the small details, and carried herself in a fun, professional manner. We definitely recommend Amy to all wedding couples looking for a photographer.”

Here’s the deal.

When your wedding is over — when the cake has been eaten, the DJ has packed up, and your guests have gone home — there are only a few things that remain:

Your love.

And your photographs.

(Yiiiikes, that just got real. But I won’t take it back!)

Let’s make sure your images highlight the nuances, laughter, and love of your relationship.

Let’s make sure they look like you.

Real talk:

Other than your partner, your photographer is the person you’ll likely spend the most time with on your wedding day.

Wild, right?

So you need to not only trust your photographer’s process and vision but you also need to seriously vibe with them.

Seriously

I’m not the photographer for everyone and that’s okay. Do I want to be your forever friend? Heck yes, I do! But there’s SO much more to it than that.
