Covid Wedding at Erickson Farmstead

Ciara + Max

Months of uncertainty due to a global pandemic melted away as Max and Ciara’s wedding day dawned bright and sunny, with perfect June breezes to make us forget there had ever been a question the day might be anything other than ideal. I was thrilled to be back at Erickson Farmstead to capture the memories of their wedding; there are so many gorgeous spaces - both inside and out - that make it one of my favorite wedding venues!

Max and Ciara were lucky to have some very talented friends and family members who helped pull everything together - from the florals and decor to hair and makeup for the ladies, they had everything covered! It was wonderful to see that, even though everyone was busy prepping all morning, they were all relaxed and ready to enjoy the day with as little stress as possible. The girls were all wearing coordinated cozy socks as they got ready that had been a gift from the bride - and it was so sweet to see even the smallest feet proclaiming “Flower Girl” when we gathered for some casual photos before Ciara put her dress on!

They had a lovely first look just outside the farm house, followed by their portraits and photos with the wedding party - they were such a fun group to hang out with!

Despite being required to shorten their guest list, they were able to celebrate with their closest family and friends in person while many other loved ones were involved from afar by participating in the ceremony virtually. The bride and groom were sure to wave at the camera as they passed by on their way out of the ceremony, as they wanted to make sure all their guests felt included regardless of where they were viewing the event!

The day concluded under the shade of one of the many beautiful farm structures, with delicious desserts and heartfelt toasts that had me alternating between tears and laughter - it was a wonderful roller coaster of emotions when so many people wanted to share their well-wishes, memories, and love with the happy couple!
